SmartBeePro placement
The documented SmartBeePro enclosure measures 117 × 79 × 24 mm and has an IP54 rating. Fit the unit in the position specified for your hive, with clearance around frames and without obstructing bees. IP54 does not mean the device can be immersed. Check the current model’s mounting instructions, especially when hive construction differs.
Brood temperature and humidity probe
The optional probe connects to SmartBeePro port 1 and is placed between frames in the brood area. Documented sensor accuracy is ±0.1 °C and ±1% relative humidity. Route the lead without trapping it when the hive is closed. Confirm placement and clearances with the beekeeper; the probe complements regular inspections.
Hive scale
The optional scale connects to SmartBeePro port 3 and sits beneath the hive. The documented capacity is up to 200 kg. Use a stable, level support and confirm the scale footprint, hive base and calibration procedure for the supplied model. The website does not establish compatibility with every hive format.
Commission and check
Charge the device, check cellular and GPS reception, pair it with the intended account and confirm that fresh readings arrive. Test the notification route and planned-movement mode before leaving the apiary. Record the device-to-hive mapping and who is responsible for charging and maintenance. External sensors and frequent tracking reduce runtime.
