Beekeeper.Tech supplied 120 SmartBeePro devices to Sharjah’s Department of Agriculture & Livestock, as the first phase of a program targeting 5,000 connected hives. Supplied devices and the program’s long-term target are different measures; see the project page for dated milestones.
Plan around the apiary
New devices use 4G; check coverage at each site, including seasonal locations. SmartBeePro measures temperature and humidity and provides GPS tracking. SmartBeeGPS focuses on tracking. Agree who will review alerts, carry out inspections and recharge devices. Hot conditions make installation and battery checks particularly important.
Prepare your quote
Share hive count, site locations, delivery destination, required training and procurement requirements. The annual device subscription is USD 27; hardware, accessories, shipping and applicable taxes are itemized separately. A SAR or AED payment quote is confirmed by the team. Government tenders can specify data, service and acceptance requirements in advance.
